Who We Are

ScholarPath’s platform is changing the way students identify and plan for their future by matching their interests and abilities with post-high school opportunities—whether that is attending college or a trade school, entering employment immediately, or joining the military.

Employers and job recruiters are able to use ScholarPath’s platform to match up with their ideal candidates. The talent-acquisition process is fully-streamlined, as providers can easily find and communicate with diverse candidates who meet their exact needs.

We aim to transform the way high school students plan for their futures, guiding students to their next opportunity.

Why We Do What We Do

At ScholarPath, we believe in the importance of ensuring that every student should be able to find the best possible fit for their post-graduation plans. With so many pathways and choices in today’s world, it is too easy for students to get overwhelmed.

Our platform makes it easier for students to know and understand how to reach their post-high school goals—the courses they need to take, the grades they’ll need, and any other requirements along the way.

When students utilize ScholarPath tools, colleges/universities, potential employers, and recruiters can easily match their requirements and needs with the students who are a perfect fit.

The Story Behind ScholarPath

The idea for ScholarPath originated from the life experiences of St. Louis natives and twin brothers Doug and Bill Mitchell. In their high school careers Doug and Bill faced significant challenges caused by circumstances outside of their control. They went to school, worked part-time jobs, and focused on sports—specifically fostering their passion for wrestling. Upon graduation, Doug started coaching wrestling at St. Charles West High School, simultaneously opening a detail shop. Bill, on the other hand, went to college, received a degree in Business and Education, and then continued on their brotherly-path of guiding students—teaching business and coaching wrestling at Hazelwood West High School.

From 2002 to 2017 Bill served as an educator and coach in various positions across the country. Doug would eventually own and operate a total of seven businesses. But, no matter how many successes the brothers had, Doug and Bill never forgot their own high school experiences, and as such, committed themselves to figuring out a way to bring every stakeholder—students, parents, educators, and opportunity providers—together into a single ecosystem wherein students could properly prepare for their transition out of high school. They wanted a way to create a discovery platform that would let students identify their best path after high school; that would allow colleges, employers, and the military to find the best-qualified candidates;  and that would assist educators to provide the classes and preparation each student would need for their next steps.

My Scholar, LLC was founded in June 2018 when Doug and Bill developed a technology that helps all kids find their paths in life. In short, whether that path involves college, the military, or the workforce, ScholarPath is a tool that helps parents and students with their 12th-grade transition out of high school and on their pathways to success.
